Sock Trader

This is a conversation Colvin and I had the other day:

C: How was your day Daddy?
(Even though she asks this every other day, it melts my heart every time.)
D: It was good.
C: What did you do?
D: I traded stocks.
C: Soooo, you traded in your old socks for new socks?
D: (laughing) Stocks. Not socks. I traded stocks. Do you know what those are?
C: (She looks up at me with her big brown eyes and shakes her head no.)
D: (I struggle through an explanation about how stocks are fractional ownership in companies trying to explain what they are yet not make it too complicated.)
C: Ohhhh, I see what you mean now.
