... Or at least that is what Sharis tells me. I had the window open today in my office / bedroom so that I wouldn't melt. At dinner, Sharis informed me that she doesn't want that window opened wide any more because she is afraid that squirrels, bats and other animals will climb in the window (which is on the 4th floor by the way) and make our home their home. So if you see any rats scaling the concrete wall below our window, please let us know.

Minnesota Marathons

We were in MN a couple of weekends ago to watch my sister run the Twin Cities Marathon and to see my grandparents. It was very good to see my grandparents and Kerry did a fantastic job but ran in cold and rain almost the whole time. Unfortunately a lot of the pictures I took were with my Dad's camera so they are on his Flickr account. I can't build blog posts with those pictures as easily as I can with my own account (there are security issues) so I will go make some posts with his pictures but they will be one picture at a time. Just bear with me.
In the mean time, here are a couple pictures that I do have.
When Ryan sits on Tim's shoulders, he rubs his head the whole time. I guess he likes the feel of the short hair...

I'm not sure who like riding the tractor when these two do it together ... Dad or Ryan ...

Just so everyone knows, you can click on ANY of the pictures in the post to be taken to Flickr to see ALL the pictures from this weekend and any other pictures I have taken.

Ditzy Blond
Not only that, but I have been oh so sick lately too...sorry for my absence of posts on the blog. These two things can only mean one thing...I must be pregnant! Yes, that is right, Ryan is going to be a big brother. Dan and I are expecting our second on or around May 8th (as if the month of May is not busy enough for us already-note: our anniversary, mother's day, and my birthday are all usually within a few short days of one another). We are very excited and looking forward to a time when I am back to semi-normal, as I have been feeling VERY sick this time around. Also, I have forgotten my wallet when going on errands about 4 times when it was a fairly critical part of my trip. Oh, and I have bruises all over my body from my klutzy trips through the house. You may ask yourself, self, how is this woman keeping it together to care for a 15 month old right now? I'm honestly not sure of the answer to that one, but rest-assured that he is alive and well.

More Fall Pictures

I know we've had a lot of Fall pictures lately, but hey ... it's the Fall. We went to the Farmer's market again ... this time to pick out Ryan's pumpkin for the carving you saw in a previous post.
Touchdown ...
Down, set, hike ...
Ryan grabbed this apple out of some vendor's bin and started eating it ...
What's in the sewer ...
Ryan and his pumpkin ...
There was a Halloween festival at the park across from our house that same day. Ryan took in all the sights and sounds for a couple of hours and then took a 3 hour nap afterward. I think he liked it.

Someday, Ryan will be able to jump in one of these things ...
They had a fenced in pumpkin patch where Ryan could pick his own pumpkin. He basically picked up each pumpkin and threw it over his shoulder (which is his way of throwing things) ...

Carving Pumpkins

Last Sunday, we went up to our roof to carve Ryan's pumpkin that we had purchased on Saturday at the Farmer's Market. I fished out all the guts and Sharis did the creative work to the face. Ryan didn't really understand the whole concept but we didn't really expect him to either. He liked the finished product though.

Ryan helps Mom draw the face on ...
