We started registering yesterday and were completely overwhelmed. We have received some advice from some of our more experienced peers (thank you all - and anyone is welcome to send more advice if they have it), but there are so many choices and so many things that are needed. I have no idea how all of this is going to fit into our small condo, but it will and we will be one big happy family.

REAL 16 Week Belly
We finally have a real 16 week belly picture. Sharis has been feeling a lot better since the first trimester has been over. She is a little more tired than normal but less tired than in the first trimester. Teaching in school has a lot to do with her exhaustion. Sharis hasn't felt any flutters yet but isn't even sure what they feel like. She has felt some odd things going on down there but isn't sure it is the baby moving or not. The baby's heart is beating at about twice the rate of Sharis' and has probably grown to about 4.5 inches and will grow at a much faster rate these next couple months.

16 Week Belly
Sharis' belly really popped since the last picture. Don't stay away from the site too long or you'll miss too much. After seeing this picture, you might want to reconsider your entries for the Cooley Baby Pool.

Chicago Bears Landmarks
From time to time, we will include in this blog things besides the baby. I know the baby news is what you all crave, but in these early months when not much is changing, we might have some other stories to report on (Kerry constantly is hounding me for new updates). When the baby is finally here, I am sure it will be ALL baby ALL the time.
So this post is regarding the Chicago Bears mania that has hit our city. They play in about 2 hours and everyone is nuts about it. We haven't heard anything but Bears on the news for 2 weeks. It's a little much but still fun to be here for it. Since the Vikes and Browns aren't even close to getting to a Super Bowl, this will be the best we get for now.
Because of the hype, they have decorated some Chicago landmarks with Bears gear. So I braved the -5 degree temperatures and hit the town yesterday with our camera (Sharis wasn't feeling well so she stayed inside the warm condo and slept). I will leave you with a couple of pictures but if you want to see the entire set, go here.
